Annual Flint to HBCU Forum
Connecting Flint’s youth to legacy, opportunity, and excellence.
The Annual Flint to HBCU Forum is The FBC Initiative’s signature community event—an educational and cultural experience designed to promote awareness and access to Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). Hosted annually, the forum brings together students, families, alumni, and educators for a day of exploration, mentorship, and empowerment.
Through interactive panels, college resource tables, and networking sessions, participants gain valuable insight into college readiness, financial aid, and the legacy of HBCUs. Beyond academics, the forum celebrates community collaboration: partnering with local businesses, resource centers, and youth groups to showcase Flint’s collective commitment to education, growth, and opportunity.
This annual event embodies the mission of The FBC Initiative: to empower youth through education, advocacy, and service, carrying forward the legacy of Floyd and Brenda Clack’s dedication to civic engagement and lifelong learning.
